Vice President of Operations

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Vice President of Operations to lead and optimise the manufacturing, supply chain, and operational functions of a growing meat manufacturing company!

In this role, you will ensure operational excellence, drive continuous improvement, and align cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products efficiently, safely, and profitably.

What you’ll be doing:

• Oversee all plant operations, including production, quality assurance, maintenance, logistics, and supply chain.
• Develop and implement strategic operational plans that support the company’s long-term growth and profitability goals.
• Establish and monitor KPIs to ensure production efficiency, cost effectiveness, and adherence to quality and safety standards.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) to streamline processes and reduce waste.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance across multi-site operations.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local food safety regulations (FDA, USDA, SQF, etc.).
• Partner with R&D, Sales, and Finance to support new product launches, forecasting, and capacity planning.
• Manage budgets, capital expenditures, and cost control initiatives to meet financial objectives.
• Mentor and develop operational leadership to build a strong bench of future leaders.

What we’re looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Engineering, Food Science, or a related field; MBA preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in operations within the food manufacturing industry, preferably in meat processing
• Demonstrated success managing large-scale manufacturing and supply chain functions, ideally in a multi-site environment.
• Deep knowledge of food safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven track record of leading teams through change, scaling operations, and delivering measurable improvements.
