Want a technical sales person. Need to know the defence and aerospace markets, know what is going on and where and have relationships with players already
Selling consultancy services (and they feel quite confident they’re better than ok at that, and do it quite well in the UK, to BAE, Leonardo and similar. Don’t do much with Thales. That’s a blind spot. And don’t do much with European or American companies: Lockheed Martin, Airbus, etc.) and product (they’d like someone to show them how to sell products as opposed to services… an engineered service that they jointly develop that gives them something the big players want and would then buy from them for recurring revenue)
Selling to defence and aerospace focusing on really big companies but leaving aside the UK and grant/research projects (they win that work already, and feel confident they’re across it) and trying to win work from european and american companies that probably don’t yet know who they are
Could be based down South (that could be a big advantage…) but they also like the team ethic and would like someone to be northern and in the office most days too. Open to either option. Highly technical sale so won’t be big on door knocking in person and they won’t often be on a plane
