We are seeking a commercially driven and digitally savvy E-commerce Director to lead and scale the online function for a fast-growing UK beauty brand!
You will be responsible for delivering the e-commerce strategy across both Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) and online marketplaces, managing the full P&L, and driving profitable, sustainable growth.
This is a critical leadership role that combines strategic vision with hands-on execution, requiring deep knowledge of e-commerce, experience with marketplaces such as Amazon, and strong leadership skills to build and inspire a high-performing digital team.
What you’ll be doing:
- Define and implement the e-commerce growth strategy across D2C and marketplace channels
- Own and deliver the ecommerce P&L (c. £22m), including sales, margin, and ROI targets
- Lead, mentor, and grow the e-commerce team, covering trading, performance marketing, and marketplace management
- Establish KPIs and performance culture across all digital functions
- Build and manage strong relationships with marketplace partners (Amazon, LookFantastic, Sephora, etc.)
- Drive onsite optimisation, merchandising, and conversion strategies for the D2C platform (Shopify Plus/Magento or similar)
- Ensure a seamless and engaging digital customer experience aligned with brand identity
- Work closely with Marketing, Creative, Operations, and Finance to deliver an integrated digital strategy
- Partner with Supply Chain to ensure effective stock management, forecasting, and fulfilment
- Act as the digital voice within the leadership team, championing innovation and consumer-centric thinking
What we’re looking for:
- Minimum 8 – 10 years of e-commerce experience, including senior leadership roles.
- Strong track record in D2C ecommerce and marketplace management, ideally within beauty, personal care, or consumer goods.
- Proven success in managing P&L and delivering sustained revenue growth.
- Solid understanding of performance marketing, analytics, and digital trading levers.
- Commercially astute, with excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Data-driven and results-oriented
