We’re happy to give a warm welcome to Louise Simington as our new Senior Consultant in Housing. Today she’s joined our Public Sector team, bringing with her over 15 years of recruitment experience across the public sector.
Louise will be taking the lead on Housing, working with a range of registered Housing providers across the UK to provide interim subject matter experts, strategic leaders, and operational managers.
We asked Louise a few questions to get to know her a little bit better…
What is your career background and what type of projects have you worked on previously?
I started my career in banking before going travelling at the age of 23 where I found a love for recruitment finding backpackers work in hostels throughout Australia. I now have 15 years’ experience recruiting in the public sector including social housing, health sector, education and local authorities with roles at all levels.
I was attracted to Futures because of their core values and family ethos – an environment where I can see myself long term. The support they’re providing will enable me to become a successful member of the team and an integral part of the business.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work? (We know you might be limited right now…)
Good question – before COVID struck I was a social butterfly… and now I just eat! I’ve taken up running (because of my love for food). I love eating out, organising a party and spending time with family.
If you could only choose one meal to eat for the rest of your life what would you go for?
Oooh tough question – does it have to just be one! My fave starter has to be prawns. When it comes to main course I’d have to go for a Thai curry and then always a sticky toffee pudding for dessert (preferably with a side of cheese)!
Welcome to the team Louise!
