Abbots Langley is a large village and civil parish in the county of Hertfordshire. Economically, the village is closely associated with Watford and was formerly part of the Watford Rural District. Since 1974, Abbots Langley has been included in the Three Rivers district. The location of Abbots Langley, on the edge of London, with excellent transport links means that it is ideally situated as a home of businesses.
The district has a diverse range of sectors and businesses, home to both the head offices of national and international organisations and vibrant smaller firms. Business and financial services, along with IT constitute the largest employment sectors in the area. It is the base for a number of national names such as Camelot, Nestle Waters, Ferrero, Kenwood, and Imagination Technologies.
As well as the larger firms, there is a range of small and medium enterprises which make an important contribution to employment locally. These include financial services, independent retailers, builders and contractors.
