Our client is an SME engineering business with capacity for fabrication, machining and assembly they specialists when it comes to reverse engineering. Part of a group, the Bradford site has around 30 employees.
Due to imminent retirement, they are seeking an experienced Works Manager to succeed him.
The successful candidate will have a a good broad based mechanical engineering background and a track record of leading a medium sized, multi-skilled team .The position has responsibility for all aspects of production plus the usual extras that are never in the job spec such as sorting out a plumber because the sink in the gents is blocked or nipping out to a local tooling supplier in an emergency and dealing with the myriad salespeople who want your business. This will all be familiar territory that those from a corporate background will find alien.
