About the role


Our client is experiencing increased levels of business and to cope with this they need some additional help in the form of a Mechanical Fitter with experience of assembling and testing Valves for the Oil and Gas industries, experience with Actuators or Instrumentation would be an advantage but not essential.

Duties and Responsibilities .
The ideal candidate will have a keen understanding of sound engineering practices and be experience in working to close tolerances & be conversant with a variety of measuring equipment
An excellent understanding of engineering drawings and good knowledge of valves, (actuators and instrumentation a bonus)
Have experience or understanding of valve pressure testing standards and testing practices
Capable of working with Smart instrument software and configuration tools
Mechanical or E&I engineering qualification
3 years experience in mechanical automation
Previous experience working in the oil and gas industry is desirable
Advantageous to be trained in the use of overhead/swing arm cranes and experienced in the use of fork lift trucks
Appreciation for the proper use of hand and power tools
Good communication skills
Ability to work independently or as a member of a team.

There is a possibility of a permanent contract being offered after the contract period and to become part of a Global organisation with excellent further prospects.
