About the role


Manufacturing Futures seek to appoint a Transport Manager to join a fast paced manufacturer based in West Yorkshire. This is a very exciting career driven opportunity for a collaborative individual that can demonstrate expertise in their field. The successful candidate will be empowered to make decisions that that are key in delivering customer satisfaction. As Transport Manager you will have full accountability for service and delivery to all of our clients customers.

Roles & Responsibilities – Transport Manager / CPC / Supply Chain / Customer Service / Operations

*Controlling the Companys Operators Licence and overseeing the transport functions at our depot
*Hands on’ daily route planning
*Undertaking regular depot visits and compliance audits
*Line managing a team of drivers at various locations across the north/south of the UK
*Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand and deliver to expectations
*Manage and adhere to defined budgets
*Appropriately recruit and resource the team to ensure customer demands are met;
*Initiate and deliver continuous Improvement projects to reduce cost and improve service delivery
*Optimise the utilisation of all assets of all assets across the operation
*Encourage and deliver a culture of safe operating, dealing appropriately with any breaches
*Encourage, enable and deliver a customer service driven approach from your team

Skills and Attributes Transport Manager / CPC / Supply Chain / Customer Service / Operations

*Excellent communicator
*Dynamic and driven to deliver
*Strong leadership skills
*Familiarity with transport management systems
*Experienced in managing Operators Licences
*Up to date knowledge of transport law and regulations
*Working geographical knowledge of the region and the motorway network
*Health & Safely related qualification e.g. IOSH, NEBOSH (Desirable)
*Strong PC skills (including Microsoft Office)
