We are seeking an experienced Technical & Operations Manager to join an exciting team in a student-facing role in West Yorkshire!
With this fantastic opportunity, you will be delivering wide-ranging customer-focused services across the entire student experience, liaising with staff and students daily to provide effective and efficient technical support.
To be successful in the role, you will have strong skills in all technical disciplines including; sound, audiovisual, flying, rigging, and staging, with a knowledge of Live Events principles and processes and previous experience in a similar role.
You will be an excellent communicator with a can-do attitude and solid team working skills who can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment!
Your responsibilities will include:
• Manage projects and assist in the delivery of planned maintenance and reactive maintenance programmes.
• Managing support for academic staff during practical sessions.
• To deliver technical instruction on degree courses and commercial short courses as required.
• Support the strategic planning for the development of equipment and facilities.
• Produce and maintain detailed standards, plans, specifications, documentation and reports for systems and services.
• Fault diagnosis and resolution.
• Convey and discuss specialist technical and complex operational information and concepts to team colleagues, operational managers and departmental representatives as required.
