About the role


We have an exciting opportunity available for a leading food manufacturer. Here at Futures, we are looking for a Technical Administrator due to continued growth and expansion of the company. This role is with the Technical and Quality (Food Safety) and would benefit someone who has experience in this area and is looking to further develop their career.

Reporting into the Technical Services Manager you will be working within a food manufacturing environment to administratively support the Technical and Quality services of the business through to ensure all Food Safety, Health and Safety requirements are met.

Responsibilities

KPI reporting – Analyze technical KPI data (nutrition, micro, complaints, etc.) and alert the Technical Services Manager to any negative trends, ensuring that improvement measures are agreed upon and documented for all negative trends.
Technical documents and their control are the responsibility of the custodian.
To keep all equipment in use for monitoring product safety, legality, and quality up to date using a calibration programme.
To be a super-user in important technical systems such as metal detection, auto-coding, equipment functioning monitoring (pH, moisture, temperature date profiling), weighing systems, magnet and sieving systems, CCP validation procedures, swabbing protocols, micro modelling, Brexit systems, and so on.
Assist the Technical Services Manager in performing gap analyses for changes in law and COPs and ensuring that gaps are closed in a timely manner.
As needed, assist the Process Manager with the approval of new packaging.
Member of the site HACCP and TACCP teams, offering input on best practise based on subject area research
Any additional projects or activities required by the company and Technical Services Manager to ensure best-in-class standards are implemented

Requirements

Working experience in a food production setting
Working understanding of food regulations and BRC
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Good computer literacy
Ability to work autonomously Level 3 Food Safety and HACCP
Microbiology knowledge
Root cause analysis and non-conformance management
Ability to understand and follow site procedures as well as create basic technical procedures
