Our client, a leading FMCG / Food Manufacturer in Lancashire is looking for a Strategic Buyer to join their Procurement team.
This is a new role reporting to the Senior Procurement & Supply Manager, a chance for an ingredients sourcing specialist to support the department’s transition from operational/tactical purchasing to strategic sourcing, make their mark and contribute to the continued growth and profitability of the business.
This is an exciting time to join our client as they integrate new acquisitions into the business, develop new products and grow.
Your Responsibilities:
– Developing sourcing strategies across ingredients & packaging.
– Developing innovative supplier partnerships.
– Managing supplier performance – develop & implement supplier scorecard to align business objectives on cost, quality OTIF, lead-times etc.
– Delivering cost saving initiatives.
– Identify & mitigate risk to the supply chain.
– Conducting contract negotiations.
You Will Need:
– Food manufacturing industry experience.
– Proven track record of delivering cost savings.
– Strong Contract negotiation.
– Strong supplier relationship management & performance management.
