Manufacturing Futures are looking to appoint an experienced Stores Materials Handler for a leading Manufacturer in Leeds. This is a full time permanent position working Mon to Fri permanent days. As Stores Material Handler you will be responsible for the replenishment of the central stores and managing products and components in and out of stores, and general day to day administrative duties required in the department.
Key Accountabilities:
Receipt and record inward bound goods, inspect and verify quality and place in the appropriate location.
Pick goods from stores, package and arrange for dispatch to other departments and sites.
Report stock shortages and liaise with suppliers / buyers to arrange replenishment.
Completing weekly stock checks.
Work under pressure.
Replenishing consumable items.

Delivery of equipment from central stores to sites.
Arrange collection of faulty equipment with supplier.
Raising purchase orders on the system and liaising with customers and suppliers.
Placing and processing orders in a timely manner.
Delivery & collection of stock to other sites.
Identify & investigate causes of stock discrepancies and communicate correctly.
Record keeping / filing / scanning.

Housekeeping & continuous improvement activities.
Stock Auditing / traceability.
Operation of weighbridge where necessary.
Answering telephone and directing the call to the appropriate person.
Other duties as required to meet the needs of the business.

Previous experience of working in a goods in or stores environment would be advantageous
The ideal candidate will be able to adapt quickly and work efficiently in a busy environment, whilst always maintaining a professional attitude.
They must have strong communication skills and be able to work well within a team, as well as being confident to work on tasks alone.
A great deal of forward thinking is required in this role, creativity is desirable and enables efficient problem solving. candidates to have H&S awareness for the safety of themselves and their colleagues in the workplace
Although experience isnt essential, it would be beneficial for the candidate to have some experience within a goods in/warehouse position with some knowledge of office environments as the role will be spent within both areas. The candidate will be provided with all required training.
Because of the nature of the role a driving licence is essential.
A FLT licence would be advantageous.
