Our client, a growing electronics design and manufacturing business in South Yorkshire, seeks to appoint a number of Software Engineers with Linux experience who are good coders in C or variants of C. This role could suit a graduate through to an experienced engineer with a suitable salary to match. The role is purely Linux focused but an appreciation for embedded software / firmware for electronics hardware would be beneficial. Software Engineer (Linux) – Skills & Abilities – Embedded Software, Linux, Firmware, Electronics, Developer, C
* Embedded Linux experience including writing low-level device drivers (Debian preference)
* Some experience with embedded C would be helpful.
* Strong mathematical skills and an understanding of electronics and schematics are advantageous but not essential
* Experience with CAN and TCP/IP is of significant benefit
* Other Linux experience (server-side admin skills) is beneficial
