About the role


Futures are looking to appoint Northern based Site Supervisors for a leading Family run Window and Door Manufacturer based near Pontefract

Purpose:-
Co-ordination and supervision of site operations ensuring high standards of installation and communication.

Responsibilities

Excellent planning and communication skills by engaging with colleagues, sub-contractors and clients to develop productive relationships.
Ensure all operatives working on sites are inducted into the site-specific installation and H&S plans and do not deviate from the processes and procedures noted in the method statement and risk assessment
Tool box talks as required to maintain standards on both installation and H&S.
Ensure that standards are achieved with regard to quality, workmanship, H&S and housekeeping.
Attend and record by way of meeting minutes in email, agreeing actions from all relevant site meetings with the client

2.Variation works are agreed prior to works commencing
3.Labour resource to manage site expectations

Thorough pre installation checks on site to ensure the openings due to be installed are ready as planned and communicate directly with the client to resolve via email.
Ensure appropriate ordering, safe receipt and storage of all materials required on site
Inspect every installed product against the agreed installation standard method statement including windows, doors, EPDM and sign off subcontractors work
Ensure 10% of windows are deglazed to ensure the standard on toe and healing is being maintained by the installers
Ensure the client signs off each window within 48 hours of installation
Produce and submit requisition sheets for materials
Take full responsibility for all company property (whether owned or hired) on site until returned to Head Office or released from hire
Create snag lists for plots and request engineer support should it be required from Contracts Manager
Carry out any further duties that are required or instructed by the Contract

To install in line with the project specific detailed method statement ensuring works are done to a high level of quality
Maintaining installation programme where possible, backing up client delays in email with Contracts Manager copied in
Ensuring all site staff are adhering to H&S policy
Reporting any deviations from detailed method statement
Reporting any damaged or missing items

To carry our repairs and fitting where necessary in keeping with DD working procedures and complying with all site regulations

To ensure that all Health & Safety requirements are met by installation and labour teams. To follow DD health and safety policy and act accordingly to any breach of safe working practice.
To report and document all non-conformance and report back to Contracts Manager
Complete any accident report for accidents that occur on site
Complete thorough accident investigations as required

Company Van, Tools, expenses package covering any overnight stays.
