Our client are an expanding design business that have recently won several new long term contracts, recruiting for a Senior Systems Engineer with an electronics engineering projects background!
You’ll be responsible for full system life cycles from defining customer requirements, developing System Specifications, identifying and demonstrating relevant industry standards through to reliability, availability, maintenance, safety and system disposal. You’ll be given the autonomy to progress projects as you see fit managing through a matrix system a number of design engineers.
Your Role and Responsibilities:
* Understanding the technical needs of a customer to create user requirements.
* Analysis of user requirements to create system requirement specifications and system architectures.
* Generation of the technical elements and costings of bids and proposals for systems and products.
* Software and hardware architecture design and documentation.
* Authoring of verification and validation tests to prove the system meets requirements.
* Supporting systems integration activities.
* Support the demonstration, deployment and maintenance of systems.
Your Skills and Abilities:
* An engineering qualification.
* Experience on a project management or systems engineering role.
* An ability to take a top down approach to systems design taking account of various methodologies.
* Inter-personal skills, in particular, the ability to work with staff and customers at all levels and generate positive, open relationships.
* Experience in a highly regulated industry (advantageous).
