An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Northern Local Authority! You will be working for the SEND service manager and will be managing the SEN assessment team and all their duties on a day-to-day basis. You will support, coach and manage the team and ensure they work well to the deadlines set and within the relevant legislation.
This role will suit a highly experienced Senior Officer or experienced Team Leader/ Team Manager. You will support improvements and be expected to contribute to some key areas to make the team even more successful.
The successful candidate will have:
– Knowledge and understanding of the legislation relating to Special Educational Needs and Disabilities -knowledge and understanding of recent developments in the field of SEN
– Experience working with multi-agencies, families and schools
– Managing complex cases and complaints effectively.
– Knowledge of education from 0-25
– Experience in managing various priorities and ensuring the best outcomes for all
