Education Futures are working with a number of Local Authorities nationwide that are looking for SEN Caseworkers for three months initially, fully remote working.
You will be required to provide support to SEN teams in its work with children, young people and families, in administering, writing and amending Education, Health and Care Needs assessments and on-going review of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
You will be a key contact in relation to the teams caseload of children and individuals with special educational needs, via telephone and electronic enquiries. Dealing quickly and efficiently with customer enquiries by phone, post or e-mail and keep accurate records of these communications.
Provide help and advice to customers in respect of EHC assessments and plans, carry out related administration tasks associated with customer inquiries and the teams work e.g. despatch, post or e-mail of information to customers following an enquiry, updating and maintaining files, databases and electronic records and systems,
You will assist in the monitoring, analysis and evaluation of the service by recording any statistical information requested e.g. specific inquiries and requests for further information.
You will work as part of a team covering a geographical area within LAs under the direction of a Team Manager, with the support of a Senior Planning Coordinator and Planning Coordinators. Have excellent communication, IT and organisational skills. Accurate recording and a commitment to working in sometimes stressful situations are essential qualities for the job.
