Education Futures are working with a number of Local Authorities in the South West that are looking for interim SEN Caseworkers for 3 to 6 month assignments.
Reporting to the Head of SEND, you will be providing support with the Special Educational Needs team in its work with children, young people and families. You will be administering, writing and amending Education, Health and Care Needs assessments; and providing an on-going review of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
You will be a key contact in relation to the teams caseload of children and individuals with special educational needs, via telephone and electronic enquiries. You will provide help and advice to customers in respect of EHC assessments and plans, carry out related administration tasks associated with customer enquiries, updating and maintaining files, databases and electronic records and systems
To be successful in this role, it is essential that youve worked within a Special Educational Needs team environment, and have a working, up-to-date knowledge of the SEN codes of practice/Children and Families Act. You will also need to have excellent communication, IT and organisational skills.
In addition to the competitive weekly pay, you will be instrumental in the education and development of young people with Education, Health and Care Plans.
