Education Futures are working with a number of Local Authorities in London and the South East that are looking for SEN Caseworkers on contracts ranging from three to six months.
You will be required to provide support to SEN teams in their work with children, young people and families. Reporting to the SEN Manager, you will be responsible for processing, writing and amending Education, Health and Care Needs assessments, and the on-going reviews of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
You will be a key contact in relation to the teams caseload of children and young people with special educational needs, and you will need to be in regular contact for telephone and electronic inquiries.
You will provide help and advice to customers in respect of EHC assessments and plans, carry out related administration tasks associated with customer inquiries and the teams work e.g. dispatch, post or e-mail of information to customers following an inquiry, updating and maintaining files, databases and electronic records and systems.
You will assist in the monitoring, analysis and evaluation of the service by recording any statistical information requested e.g. specific inquiries and requests for further information.
To be successful in this role, you will have excellent communication, IT and organisational skills.
You will also need accurate recording and a commitment to working in sometimes high pressure situations.
