Our client, a specialist manufacturing company based in Sheffield, seek to appoint a Quality Engineer to join their team of highly skilled engineers. As Quality Engineer you will have previous experience working in a quality focused role, an appreciation of auditing, ISO9001 QMS knowledge, and great IT and communication skills. The business are open to a more junior quality engineer or someone with more experience. You’ll be joining a fast growing business that offer excellent progression opportunities and a good benefits package. After a few years in this quality engineer role the intention is for you to progress internally. Your quality experience can easily have been in quality inspection, production engineering, or another practical shop floor based position.
Quality systems engineer – Skills and abilities – QMS / ISO9001 / Audit / Non-conformance / Root Cause Analysis / Certification / CAPA
* Experience working in a quality focused role with previous experience of quality systems
* Some audit experience (internal & supplier audit experience preferred but not essential)
* Good IT skills i.e. Word, Excel, SAP and excellent communication skills
* Ability to work under own initiative without direct supervision as part of the quality team

* Maintain ISO 9001 accredited Quality Management System alongside management personnel
* Update Procedures & Documents relating to the QMS as required
* Co Ordinate internal Audit System & follow up corrective actions
* Carry out Internal Audits in accordance with company audit schedule
* Manage internal & external non-conformance reporting system, carry out Root Cause Analysis & implement corrective action
* Assist with product testing & certification
