About the role


Futures wish to appoint a Vehicle Integration (VI) Quality Engineer to provide operational quality engineering support to an in-house manufacturing and design team. As Vehicle Integration Quality Engineer you will ensure the necessary tools and processes are in place to ensure vehicles and rafts are manufactured to the right level of quality prior to customer dispatch. It is important you have a rounded quality engineering background (QMS processes, audits, inspection, CAPA, manufacturing support) and experience of working with vehicles (automotive, rail, aerospace, etc.)

* A key member of the cross functional team to support the sustained development and industrialisation of the VI assembly processes.
* The quality representative and presence in area of responsibility.
* Developing the systems, processes and tools to facilitate quality control throughout the vehicle integration process.
* Completing incoming, stage and pre delivery inspection activities in accordance with the procedures established.
* Supporting the new product introduction (NPI) process with the development and launch of new products to ensure quality is built into the process from start of production (SOP).
* Scaling the quality control team within VI as production volumes increase in line with the Magtec business plan.

* Direct experience in quality engineering
* Experience in an automotive, rail or aerospace environment
* Has previously worked in manufacturing with medium volume assembly operations
* Practical experience in a mechanical or electrical engineering or assembly environment with a good practical knowledge of use of tools
