Manufacturing Futures is looking to recruit a quality engineer for our client who manufacture mechanically engineered components in Sheffield. We are looking for somebody who can implement positive changes in order to improve overall performance. The role is very fast paced so experience of working within a similar fast paced mechanical engineering environment is a must.
Quality Engineer – Role and Responsibilities – Quality Manager, Lean, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering
You will initiate ways to improve performance using lean manufacturing techniques, six sigma and process improvements. The successful Quality Engineer will be confident and articulate and have previous experience of leading audits. It is essential you have worked in manufacturing or production for a mechanical engineering focused manufacturing company.

– Have been the lead contact for an external audit from a customer or external assessment body such as BSI
– Good communicator comfortable training shop-floor level staff one day and reporting to the board the next
– Qualification to HND or degree level with minimum three years experience in a quality role
– Occasional travel to suppliers may be required and a passport and driving licence are required
