This could be the position for you!

Quality Engineer / Quality Manager: Our client, a market leading and expanding manufacturing organisation based in Huddersfield, seek to appoint a Quality Engineer who is ready to step into a Quality Manager role to join their established team. As the appointed Quality Engineer / Quality Manager you will report to the Operations Director and be responsible for identifying and addressing process and system problems and supporting operational teams across the site.

Quality Engineer / Quality Manager: Utilising Lean Manufacturing techniques including Kaizen, 5s, Visual Factory, Standardised Work, Root Cause Analysis, etc, together with a proactive attitude you will strive to always do things better. Your personal communication and influencing skills are also of major importance to be able to lead a sometimes reluctant workforce to a desired outcome, through influence and the use of factual data.

Quality Engineer – Role and Responsibilities – Quality Manager:
– Waste reduction throughout the organisation championing lean/Kaizen manufacturing techniques
– Using a detailed FMEA process to develop robust control plans
– Inspection and Test
– Non Conforming Product Reviews
– Document Control
– Audits
– Continuous Improvement (Lean, OEE, root cause)
– Team leadership and development of project teams

Quality Engineer – Skills and Abilities – Quality Manager
– A recognised qualification in manufacturing or engineering
– Experience in a fast paced and high volume manufacturing business
– Continuous Improvement mindset (Lean, root cause analysis, 6-sigma, etc.)
– At least five years’ experience in hands-on quality focused roles
