Futures Manufacturing are working with a leading Company who design and Manufacture equipment including lighting, for the Medical Industry.
We are looking to appoint a Projects Manager (can be based in the South) to ensure the customer needs are met effectively, ethically and profitably.
This role is approximately 50% site based, nationally with many projects based in the South, which can be demanding and physically a lot of travelling.

Purpose:
Success in this role requires attention to detail combined with a good working knowledge of the Company’s products and procedures.
Full Training will be available on the Products.
The ability to coordinate and supervise the execution of works on time and within Budget.
The Projects Manager must function effectively at all times, carrying out all of the duties expected of them in a professional and courteous manner.

Role:
Take responsibility for ensuring the engineering team work to, and within, the agreed Scope of Works, avoiding project cost overruns and ensuring variation orders are obtained prior to carrying out any additional, unplanned works on site.
Upon receipt of new works into the projects department, review sales order and installation site should be undertaken and any additional materials or changes to the materials requirements should be actioned with the projects team. This should form part of the handover from sales process.

Work within the Projects Team to achieve all planned delivery and installation timescales on or before due dates, providing clear direction to the installation team and working with the Project Coordinator to assign work appropriately and fairly.
Motivate, coach, and assist in the development of the engineering team, providing support and encouragement to ensure individuals are able to fulfil the responsibilities of their roles, whilst meeting or exceeding the expectations of the client
Manage large site projects from pre-start and induction through to completion, commissioning and handover. Participate in appropriate site meetings and ensure the on-site engineering team maintain continuity of work.
Understand the Company’s commitment to Health & Safety and ensure that policies, procedures and safe methods of work are always followed to safeguard site-based colleagues and customers.

Conduct appropriate handover from Sales to Projects on all project-related orders, reviewing contract specifications and confirming material/resource requirements.
Establish a process of data collation of all installed Company equipment, incorporating site specific information (e.g. commissioning date and serial numbers etc).
Ensure all customer interactions are carried out in a professional and courteous manner, acting as the first point of contact for customers throughout the installation process and communicating the correct information to colleagues within the Projects Team.

Hold regular, scheduled meetings to encourage and maintain the capability and productivity of the Projects Team.
Review engineer capability so that engineers possess the necessary skills; identifying any gaps and ensuring appropriate training is undertaken and employee records are kept up to date.
Understand the Company’s obligation to quality and to apply the appropriate Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) pertinent to the role.
