Futures are working with a growing manufacturer who are looking to appoint a Project Manager to work on multiple projects across a diverse client bank. The scope of the activities with each project covers some design activity, manufacturing, through to installation and aftermarket support. The core responsibilities of this role will be to build strong commercial relationships with a demanding customer base and to align the production teams so key deliverable dates are met on time and in full. It’s important you understand complex production processes in order to provide accurate updates to the customers you are working with. An important aspect of the Project Manager role is in building effective relationships with large blue chip customers and managing their expectation through the project lifecycle. You need to be highly organised and be able to motivate internal team in order to keep projects on track and within budget. In this role you will be required to use appropriate project management tools to deliver projects to agreed targets, budgets and timescales.

* Manage multiple projects simultaneously
* To take the lead on the commercial side of projects and manage customer expectations accordingly
* Manage the OE project management resources in a manner that makes best use of skills, expertise and experience
* Manage the teams and project activities to ensure compliance with quality system and standards
* Ensure that the NPI processes are followed and stakeholders updated
* Ensure that appropriate project management tools are adopted and are used to communicate project plans and progress effectively across the whole organisation and to the
customer

* A relevant degree qualification in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Maths (STEM) discipline or a business management subject (preferred but not essential)
* Sound knowledge and understanding of project management techniques (PRINCE 2 advantageous)
* Experience of successfully managing large customers in an engineering environment
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrates the ability to summarise complex issues effectively to people at all levels in the organisation
* Determination to hit deadlines and overcome barriers. Able to work under pressure and adapt to and organise changing priorities
