Are you a Project Manager with a naturally organised manner, experience in running multiple installations and/or fit-out projects concurrently, and a desire to take responsibility to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget to the client’s satisfaction? Our client design and manufacture safety-critical equipment and then install it around the UK. We are looking to appoint a Project Manager to ensure customer needs are met effectively, ethically and profitably. You’ll be given free rein to manage your projects as you see fit.
The role will involve lots of customer interaction and internal liaising with manufacturing, logistics and quality departments.
Your Role and Responsibilities:
• Take responsibility for ensuring the engineering team work to, and within, the agreed Scope of Works
• Manage large site projects from pre-start and induction through to completion, installation and handover
• Avoiding project cost overruns and ensuring variation orders are obtained before carrying out any additional, unplanned works on site
• Reviewing sales orders and managing installation sites
Your Skills and Abilities:
• At least 5 years experience in a Project Management role for a manufacturer or engineering business
• Prior experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Experience managing complex installation projects
• UK driving licence and the willingness to travel to customer locations as required
• An excellent communicator
