About the role

Manufacturing Futures seek to appoint a Product Manager to the Product and Supplier Development team of our client, a long standing manufacturing and engineering business, to manage and develop a market leading portfolio of products and suppliers. As Product Manager you will be responsible for the management of electronics based products within a commercial environment. There will be a mix of account management and new business development. You will be joining a market leading electronics business that offer autonomy within role and a great working atmosphere.

Product Manager Role and Responsibilities Negotiation / Sales / Business Development / Commercial / Electronics

* Sales and margin responsibility for a portfolio of electronics products, including negotiating costs and prices throughout the range
* Develop Private label products and Brands
* Direct mail and marketing support (product selections, pricing and layout) to service existing and develop new accounts
* Product lifecycle management: cost price negotiation, introduction, setting and maintaining sell prices
* Develop relationships with key strategic suppliers and identify new suppliers (T&C negotiation, discounts, payment terms, supply chain concerns, etc)
* Competitor investigation and market research
* Provide third level Technical support

Product Manager Skills and Abilities Negotiation / Sales / Business Development / Commercial / Electronics

* Technical knowledge of electronics products
* Educated to Degree level in a related subject preferred but not essential
* Experience in a commercial role
* Far Eastern sourcing experience preferred but not essential
* A good negotiator with strong communication skills
* Well-organised and capable of working autonomously
