My client, a niche Yorkshire based FMCG manufacturing business are looking to recruit an experienced generalist Procurement Manager. The company are experienced year on year growth and have secured significant investment to kick start 2021!
As the Procurement Manager you will be operate at in a strategic role taking overall responsibility for the procurement function of an 100 million + turnover business. Working experience in a procurement role is essential from a manufacturing industry. Any Engineering and machinery buying experience would be advantageous.
Its pivotal for the successful Procurement Manager to have strong negotiation and communication skills.
The Procurement Manager will be tasked with developing and implementing procurement procedures for the business to ensure key procurement objectives are hit successfully.
You will be responsible for the negotiation and ongoing management of various key areas of the business from raw material, energy, and various other key business contracts.
Other duties will within the function will include project management involvement from engineering, machinery and other key supplies. You will negotiate with internal and external stakeholders and produce contractual documentation.
The Successful Procurement Manager will have previous manufacturing/engineering experience.
