Due to extensive growth they are expanding and recruiting for a Process Technologist.
Reporting into the Technical Manager you will be a key member of the Technical Team being responsible for a number of food processes, new product trials, ingredient trials and quality measures working collaboratively with NPD, packaging and Operations colleagues.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
Responsible for carrying out trials on manufacturing projects, new ingredients and new products in order to deliver process improvements and ensure that product quality hits the required standards.
Provide information to support the creation of customer and factory specifications which lead to the production of accurate and appropriate product labelling information
Responsible for the planning of a trial schedule for the incorporate Technical Team, NPD and Operations led projects.
Provide process guidance and advice to cross functional manufacturing teams to promote adoption of new practices or process for increased efficiency.
Monitor and communicate process trends to ensure launch date adherence and maximum process optimisation.
Challenge and investigate potential continuous improvement projects and facilitate relevant trials in order to drive process/ product enhancements opportunities.
Ensure the output of all product trials are fully documented with adherence to food safety, quality standards and customer requirements are met.
Assessment of equipment capability to ensure that process standards are in line with company and customer requirements in order to drive improvements.
Manage all onsite taste panels and be an active member of the onsite SAGE team.
Support the technical team in complaint reduction plans.
Support the Technical Manager in managing the safety, legality and quality of food produced.
Qualifications and Experience:
Experience of working within the industry for at least 3 years with good working knowledge of food safety, quality and H&S standards.
HACCP qualifications are desirable.
Good technical understanding of the manufacturing process and plant is desirable.
Candidates should be passionate with a can do attitude.
Great problem-solving skills with a flexible and reliable approach to work.
Computer literate.
Strong communication skills including report writing.
Able to build and maintain strong working relationships with multiple stakeholders.
High attention to detail.
Able to manage and prioritise deadlines.
