Working as a planning enforcement officer in the West Midlands, you will be responsible for visiting sites around the surrounding area and investigating household planning cases and alleged breaches of planning. Within this role, you will get the chance to work with residents of the area and be an important part of the councils regeneration plans.
The appointed Planning enforcement officer will be responsible for investigating a wide range of planning applications, make recommendations on planning breaches, prepare paperwork to report on these applications, and make key decisions on prosecutions and the outcome of the householder applications. The level of applications will depend upon experience, with the complexity of cases rising as experience is gained. Due to this, on offer is the chance to expand your experience and develop your planning enforcement skillset.
Key skills:
*The ability to work diligently and efficiently in order to complete enforcement cases punctually.
*Previous experience in a planning enforcement role, the appointed officer will have experience completing site visits to enforce breaches of household planning rules.
*The ability to travel between different sites in the surrounding area, due to the nature of the role, a drivers license will be required.
Features of the role:
*An initial 6 month contract, with the opportunity for extension upon review.
*A fantastic day rate, with the set figure depending on experience.
*The opportunity to work in a hybrid role, with travel to the office and sites around the surrounding area required 2-3 days per week.
