Futures have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Packing Manager across Production and Packing on behalf of a leading, global, billion £ food manufacturer who is well-known in the market for their great tasting products!
Reporting in to the Operations Manager you will be responsible for the line management of 4 Area Managers in Packing across the four shift patterns.
Key Duties Include:
– Accountable for all aspects of training and developing teams including devising skills matrices, implementation of SOPs, identifying skills gaps, developing training plans, maintenance of core training, consistent delivery of Shop floor training, maintenance of training records and involvement in specific role related training.
– Accountable for recruitment, staff movements and succession planning.
– Accountability for effective Performance management within area of responsibility ensuring consistency in approach and correct application of performance management processes (Disciplinary/Absence Management procedures/Praise & Recognition.
– Responsible for leading projects across continue improvement, cost optimisation and new technology.
Your Key Skills and Experience:
– Extensive experience within a manufacturing environment
– Experience within a food manufacturing environment would be desirable but not essential
– Line management experience to include performance management & development (PDR’s).
– Experience in process improvement tools and methodology.
– Computer literate and competent in the use of Microsoft applications.
– A passion to motivate, coach and develop a team
– HACCP Level 3 minimum – desired
– Food Safety Level 3 minimum – desired
– IOSH Managing Safely – desired
