Part of a Global business with a $5billion turnover this flagship site is looking to employ an additional Maintenance Technician to their team. You will be working on a 4 on 6 off shift basis (2 days, 2 nights 6 off) to ensure the continuing effective operation of a plant running 24/7. Main Duties:
– Perform standard Maintenance Technician functions such as the completion of Work Orders and PMs in accordance to the
maintenance plan.
– Attend the Daily DMS and take ownership of actions as required, completing tasks on time and providing feedback to the
team.
– Provide assistance in resolving machine breakdowns.
– Support all members of the daily maintenance team (Supervisor, Planner, Reliability and Stores)
– Cover absence of other Shift Technicians as required.
– Participate in major improvement projects.
– Lead or participate in 8D projects to eliminate repeat failures.
– Promote TPM methodology and play an active role in implementation.
– Be the point of contact for suppliers and contractors and provide supervision in accordance to company safety requirements
as required.
– Participate in the generation and improvement of maintenance documentation, such as OPLs, SOPs, PMs, 8Ds, etc.
– Develop current machine documentation, drawings and storage.
– Provide training and support to the maintenance and production teams as required.
– Actively find machine abnormalities and highlight issues by creating Notifications in SAP.
– As part of the infrequently used Maintenance Escalation Process, provide out of hours support to the Shift Technicians by
supporting over the phone or attending site if required (on a rota basis).

You:
– Fully Qualified in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and able to produce certificates
– Good team working and communication skills
– Strong experience in Mechanicl and Electrical maintence gained in a manufacturing environment
– PLC fault finding skills
– Network fault finding competence
– Able to collect and analyse data to look for patterns of failure etc
– Computer literate
– Reach FLT and IPAF an advantage or willing to undertake training.
