Futures Manufacturing Team are working with a high volume manufacturer in a state of the art facility based out of 2 sites in Yorkshire, they are privately owned and a market leader.
They are in a growth period and are now looking to appoint in a permanent full time role Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineers.
The role is to support the business with an electrical and Mechanical focus, by maintaining the machines and ensuring they continue to stay in production and to continue operating with World Class KPIs. This includes bespoke, automated, CNC, Precision Machinery.
Duties and Responsibilities:
To undertake mechanical/electrical Installations in line with legal requirements
To modify existing machinery in line with legal requirements
To install or assist in the installation of new services and equipment
To design, promote and undertake preventative maintenance
To be effective in a reactive maintenance situation
To understand, maintain and promote legislative requirements within the scope of their work (LOLER, PUWER, HASAWA, IEE wiring regulations, Working at height, Confined space, etc)
To overhaul, refurbish plant and machinery
Undertake routine testing such as PAT, emergency lighting, fire alarms etc
Be of positive character and work confidently in a time critical environment
Must be able to work both individually and as part of a team and participate in making decisions in a dynamic situation
To actively promote safe working practices.
To effectively communicate at all levels – keeping managers, team members and relevant parties aware and seek advice and assistance as and when required
Electrically and or mechanically qualified
Experience working on PPMs
Experience working to a tight work schedule.
Can work autonomously or as part of a team
You must be available to work core shifts including Earlies, Afters and Nights including weekends spread over a 4 week shift pattern
