Futures are looking to appoint a Mechanical Vehicle Technician
To support the conversion of vehicles into electric vehicles.
The Mechanical Vehicle Technician will play a key role in the integration of electric drive systems into a range of commercial vehicles including trucks and buses.
The Mechanical Vehicle Technician will be working closely with a team of mechanical and electrical design engineers and vehicle electricians.
Removal of engines and associated parts on HGVs and PSVs
You will be Fitting our inhouse designed drive frame and components to the vehicles ie drive motor, batteries, air compressor and power steering motor etc
Installation and modification of hydraulic systems, (pipework)
Modifications to interior trim for display units
Working to all relevant internal and external standards
Working within Engineering and Quality Processes

Experience and Skills:
Ability to read, interpret detail on assembly drawings
Health and safety conscious
Ability to work effectively with the Team and on your own in a range of disciplines
Continuous improvement, problem solving with the Supervisor and the Engineering Team
Desire to learn and grow within an expanding business
Pride themselves on producing high quality work with attention to detail
Experienced mechanical Fitter
Flexible attitude to working to see the job through (overtime)
Mechanical Fitter HGVs and PLCs
Class 1 or Class 2 / Cat C License
Some knowledge of Fabrication and Welding
Counterbalance Fork Lift Truck License
