A niche, leading manufacturing business based in West Yorkshire, is looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, to join a well established business, with continuous growth and a fantastic reputation.

Reporting to the Engineering Maintenance Manager, and as part of the engineering team, you will be responsible for attending machinery breakdowns swiftly and efficiently to keep production downtime to a minimum, Working in a busy fast paced production environment, you will be responsible for both reactive and proactive maintenance within the plant.
Main Responsibilities:
– Daily plant inspections, monitoring plant performance
– You will need to facilitate a speedy response to all plant stoppages and plan/implement modifications to new and existing equipment
– Carrying out fault finding diagnosis/repairs on equipment and plant
– You will have to ensure the PPM schedules are maintained in accordance with the current requirements
– Continuous Improvement – identify new methods and procedures
– Ensure accurate & timely records are entered / recorded of all work carried out, root causes of failures and of spares / consumables used
Successful Mechanical Engineer will have/be:
– Previous Experience working in a manufacturing setting
– Qualified in an Engineering Discipline, holding a mechanical HND, HNC, ONC, BTEC or NVQ qualification.
– Working well under pressure
– Ability to think fast on your feet
