We have a great opportunity available for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established maintenance team for a leading manufacturing business!
Reporting into the Engineering Manager you will take responsibility for both proactive and reactive maintenance duties within this fast-paced production environment. As a key member of the Engineering team, you will share responsibility for achieving budgeted machine performance targets and ensuring the machines are kept running to peak performance within the manufacturing unit.
Your Key Responsibilities:
– Daily plant inspections, monitoring plant performance.
– Strong understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics.
– Facilitate a speedy response to all plant stoppages and plan/implement modifications to new and existing equipment
– Carrying out fault finding diagnosis/repairs on equipment and plant
– Ensure the PPM schedules are maintained in accordance with the current requirements
– Continuous Improvement – identify new methods and procedures
– Ensure accurate records are entered/recorded of all work carried out, root causes of failures and of spares / consumables used
The Successful Engineer:
– Previous experience of working within a manufacturing environment
– Time served apprenticeship in a mechanical engineering discipline
– Degree / HND or equivalent in Mechanical
