About the role

Manufacturing futures are looking to appoint a Mechanical Fitter working for a large wood manufacturer based in South Yorkshire. Our client supply to both the public and private sector and have been going through a period of growth since the Covid pandemic. You will be involved with maintenance, repairs, servicing tasks, fault finding, interpreting engineering drawings, assembly and rebuild of parts, testing, cleaning, oiling and greasing of machinery.

Manufacturing / Mechanical Fitter / Workshop Engineer / Maintenance /

Routine maintenance and inspections
Diagnose faults accurately and take corrective action
Understanding and experience of electrical maintenance is a must.
Assisting with root cause analyses and continuous improvement on CNC machines.
Adhering to KPIs and an automated schedule.
The shift pattern is based over a 4 week period (no night shift)

Manufacturing / Mechanical Fitter / Workshop Engineer / Maintenance /

Mechanical engineering apprenticeship or equivalent
Ability to fault find
Previous experience of new build machinery
Experience working to a tight work schedule.
