Mechanical Design Engineer | Wakefield | £35,000 – £46,000
We are looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer for our client in Wakefield. The successful candidate will work in a team and be responsible for creative designs utilising the latest automation technologies. These machines are for a wide range of industries including food and automotive.
Duties (non-exhaustive)
– Design of machinery adhering to relevant machinery regulations and EN standards
– Managing own projects from conception to completion
– Ensure designs are practical and feasible
– Liaise with customers to ensure correct specification is met
– Ensure Technical files are produced
– Produce BOMs
– Liaise with electrical and Software teams
– Produce orders for specialised materials and components
You:
– Experienced Mechanical Design Engineer
– Qualified to ONC minimum
– Proven experience of producing viable designs for complex machinery incorporating automation.
– 3D CAD preferably Inventor but SolidWorks is acceptable
– Strong communication skills
– A team player
