Manufacturing Futures are working with a growing business in South Yorkshire who are looking to appoint a Mechanical Design Engineer. It’s important you have experience with designing mechanical machined parts, sheet metal design, mechanical fixtures, fabrication or similar. In this role you will be involved at various stages of the product lifecycle and you will work closely with customers to understand their requirements and create a product which can solve their problems. You need to be a practical engineer who has experience designing products from the ground up. The company offer a great working environment and opportunities for progression alongside good benefits. Mechanical Design Engineer – Role and Responsibilities
– Design of mechanical products as per the customer specification
– Development of new products
– Working closely with customers and their engineering departments to understand their requirements
– Producing drawings, specifications and technical reports which may include performance and failure investigation
Mechanical Design Engineer – Skills and Abilities
– A minimum of 3 years experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer
– A relevant qualification in a Mechanical Engineering discipline
– Excellent understanding of general mechanical design principles
