Our client is looking to appoint a mechanical design engineer to work for a growing West Yorkshire based manufacturer. The ideal candidate is not only someone who is an experienced mechanical design engineer but someone who has overseen projects from concept through to detailed design. We are looking for someone who has experience of heavy industry, moving machinery or industrial plant experience.

Roles & Responsibilities:
Ability to manage supplier and project manage assigned contracts
A background in either thermal application, heavy industry or moving machines is very advantageous
Providing robust conceptual and detail designs to satisfy the customers requirements.
Preparing design support documentation, conducting design calculations and maintaining concise engineering records.
Ability to write technical documentation
Producing design specifications and interface specifications based on customer requirements.
Conducting engineering investigations for existing product improvements
Production of project drawing packs in line with configuration management processes.
Producing Mechanical Designs and Drawings.
Conducting research and collating data
Attending meeting and workshops.

Qualifications & Skills:
Knowledge of Autodesk inventor, AutoCAD or Vault.
HNC Mechanical Engineering or BEng
