About the role


Materials Planner – Worksop – £23,500 – £27,000 – Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5.30pm (with options for flexible start and finish times)

Futures have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Materials Planner to join a leading, global, billion £ food manufacture who are well-known in the market for their great tasting products!

The company will invest in the development of this role, equipping you with the key skills for the present and ensuring you have a fulfilling, long term career.

Working in a close, knit team of 4 you will be responsible for:

Planning/scheduling orders for materials/packaging in time for successful production.
Working at a fast pace to ensure all orders are planned to guarantee materials/packaging are used within life.
Monitor deliveries, capture shortfalls and report any discrepancies to the supplier and relevant teams within the business.
Build relationships with suppliers to be able to work through and resolve issues.
Work within budget for stock holding plans.
Liaise and build good relationships with Production and Operations teams to ensure information is shared accurately and in a timely manner.
Monitor non-conformances to ensure non-conforming materials/packaging does not affect supply, cause shortages and organise replacement stock if required
You will be involved in projects such as forecasting, NPD, launches, delists etc

Knowledge, Experience and Skills Required:

Strong experience of planning and scheduling
Good working knowledge of Excel and MS Office based programmes
Experience of food manufacture
Highly organised and able to work autonomously
Strong administration skills
Ability to react and deal with short notice situations
Ability to prioritise and organise against specific timescales effectively even when under pressure
Good communication skills (verbal, written and reporting)
Problem solving with external parties/cross functional teams
Remain calm under pressure and flexible
Experience of SAP advantageous but not essential
Good knowledge of materials
