About the role


Manufacturing Futures are currently looking to recruit a Manufacturing Manager for an expanding and highly regulated manufacturing business near Manchester. The successful Manufacturing Manager will ensure KPIs are hit and exceeded whilst recommending process improvements, potential capex expenditures and delivering lean and CI improvements. You’ll be the person to improve things for the better: see what needs doing and be the catalyst for positive change. You must understand lean and continuous improvement (to a “common sense” standard) and want to make positive changes to processes whilst being a great manager of people. You need to have worked previously in a highly regulated market (aerospace, automotive, defence, electronics, medical devices, pharmaceutical, rail) with tight standards.

Manufacturing Manager – Role and Responsibilities – Operations Manager / General Manager / Lean / Continuous Improvement

– Manage an operations team over multiple production lines, ensuring all KPIs are hit and exceeded
– Managing production processes to meet both quantity and quality targets
– Identifying opportunities for process improvement and material / cost savings
– Oversee logistics and quality functions

Manufacturing Manager – Skills and Abilities – Production Manager / General Manager / Lean / Continuous Improvement

– Experienced within manufacturing, capable of working under pressure
– Happy to lead, develop and motivate a team
– Capable of communicating on all levels, from shop floor to Directors
– Knowledge of different CI/lean techniques and a genuine commitment to lean as the right way to work
– Previous experience in a fast paced deadline focused manufacturing facility in a highly regulated manufacturing environment
