Day to day activity is exactly what you would expect: client research, sales responding to clients for account management, arranging visits, interviewing candidates, etc. You’ll spend your time exploring exactly what clients want and exactly what candidates want within the market you feel most comfortable so you can easily win new business and present the right person for each role you work on. Managing Consultants receive substantial administrative and resourcing support.
Managing Consultant – Skills and Experience Required – Senior Recruitment Consultant
– At least five years’ previous experience in a senior recruitment role with substantial personal billings
– Team management responsibility with direct line management of recruitment consultants / resourcers / researchers
– A good standard of English and Maths
– Good organisational and time management skills, great attention to detail and an excellent communicator
– Professional business like manner
– Knowledge of IT, Microsoft Word and Excel
Most important is that you have good communication skills, substantial previous experience in recruitment, specific sector knowledge (whatever that sector may be) with a black book of existing contacts and you want to further grow your division.
