Futures are looking to appoint a skilled and experienced Maintenance Engineer within a food production environment.
As a Maintenance Engineer you will be joining the Engineering team in an established, distinctive and ambitious food manufacturing company that is committed to making great British dairy the right way.
You’ll be responsible for carrying out both planned preventative and reactive maintenance, ensuring the smooth operation of machinery, plant equipment and production.
Shift Pattern will include earlies, afters and nights over 5 days including weekend days
Key responsibilities will include:
Carrying out both planned preventative and reactive maintenance on machinery and plant across the site, recommending improvements to systems and content to improve on the value added detail for maximum operation and reliability.
Minimising down time and fault finding on a range of machinery in a fast paced and large scale manufacturing environment. Identifying and shaping improvements to eradicate repeat faults.
Assisting with root cause analysis, continuous improvement and general daily operational efficiencies to improve on engineering key performance indicators (KPI’s).
Assisting with project work as and when required including the introduction of new plant and equipment, both commissioning and delivering a project from start to end.
Apprentice trained in relevant discipline electrical/mechanical engineering
Experienced in a food or relevant environment
Ideally experienced with HVAC systems and associated site utilities (Steam, water)
Experience working to PPM and in line with a site maintenance strategy
Must be a strong communicator
