About the role

Here at Futures, we are delighted to be working exclusively with a genuine leader in food manufacturing industry. They are looking to appoint a Maintenance Manager who is keen to develop their career and progress with the business.

Maintenance Manager
55-58k DOE
Mon-Friday Days

Reporting into the Engineering Manager you will help manage all aspects of work within the engineering function, whilst maintaining a constant focus on health and safety and employee welfare. To lead and direct the Engineering function, supporting business growth and change through strong project management, development of Continuous Improvement and lean ways of working, and control of financial budgets and suppliers.

Key responsibilities;

Manage the Engineering teams development and succession plans.
Ensure safe systems of work are in place and the Engineering team are trained and compliant.
Drive a Continuous Improvement culture, working in collaboration with other departments, to improve operating performance, reduce waste, and control cost.
To work closely with the Quality and Production departments to ensure Engineering support
Take a lead for Engineering in planning for and hosting successful visits including customers,
auditors, and company VIP visits
To comply and assist with all technical and HACCP requirements- ensuring product quality
Utilise the computerised maintenance management system to provide data on PM completion rate, breakdowns etc
Manager the Contractors
Due to the fast-paced nature of this environment and the requirement for change, the challenge will be to engage the team.

Successful Maintenance Managers will be;

Previous experience of working within a FMCG food manufacturing environment
Experience of operating Engineering Management level
Degree / HNC or equivalent in Engineering
Demonstrable success in leadership during periods of business growth and change
Excellent communication skills
Working well under pressure
