Permanent Futures are delighted to be working with a leading manufacturing business based in Hull. Due to investments we are currently supporting the business with a Maintenance Engineer role.
Shift – Late Shift
Salary – Circa £40k annum (depending on experience)
Reporting into the Engineering Manager / Chief Engineer you will take responsibility for both reactive and preventative maintenance duties within a fast paced manufacturing environment. As a key and valued member of the engineering team you will share responsibility for achieving budgeted machine performance targets, and ensuring machines are kept running to peak performance.
Key Responsibilities:
– Daily Plant inspections, monitoring plant performance
– Facilitating a speedy response to machine stoppage and plan/implement modifications to new and existing machines.
– Carrying out fault finding diagnosis / repairs on equipment
– Mechanical / Electrical Maintenance on plant
– You will share the responsibility of ensuring PPM’s schedules are maintained in accordance with business requirements
– Continuous improvements (identifying new methods and procedures, that could improve production)
– Ensure accurate & timely records are entered / recorded of all work carried out.
Successful Maintenance Engineer will have:
– Previous experience in FMCG Manufacturing, Food Manufacturing, Manufacturing environment of any sort
– Time served apprenticeship in engineering discipline, holding an Mechanical or Electrical Engineering HND / HNC / NVQ / ONC / Level 3 qualification or higher
– 18th Edition (desirable)
