About the role

Here at Futures, we have an exciting opportunity available for a South Yorkshire based food manufacturer who supply food products to a lot of the top retailers in the UK. Following significant capital investment into the site, they are looking for 2 Engineers to cover the increased production hours! In other words, this companies heading in the right direction!

4 on 4 off Days and Nights 7-7 (Miss the traffic)

Are you tired of racing from breakdown to breakdown with constant pressure from management? This company work a lot more strategically on very modern equipment so this would be very rare.
Are you tired of never having the right spares in stock? This company have a very well stocked workshop with spare parts available and easy to find.
Are you tired of working in a cold, wet environment? This factory is kept at room temperature and is a lovely environment for an Engineer to work in.

Reporting into the Engineering Manager you will take responsibility for both proactive and reactive maintenance duties within this fast paced production environment. As a key member of the Engineering team, you will share responsibility for achieving budgeted machine performance targets and ensuring the machines are kept running to peak performance within the manufacturing unit

Key responsibilities;

Daily plant inspections, monitoring plant performance
You will need to facilitate a speedy response to all plant stoppages and plan/implement modifications to new and existing equipment
Carrying out fault finding diagnosis/repairs on equipment and plant
You will have to ensure the PPM schedules are maintained in accordance with the current requirements
Continuous Improvement – identify new methods and procedures
Ensure accurate & timely records are entered / recorded of all work carried out, root causes of failures and of spares / consumables used

Successful Multi Skilled Engineers will be;

Previous experience of working within a FMCG manufacturing environment
Time served apprenticeship in an engineering discipline, Mechanical or Electrical
Degree / HND or equivalent in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
17th Edition City & Guilds (Desirable)
Excellent communication skills
Working well under pressure
