Futures is looking to appoint a logistics coordinator for our client who manufactures performance driven clothing garments and distributes globally. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing shipments for despatch swiftly by the most economical and efficient means possible liaising predominantly with the factory in China.

Interact closely with all relevant departments within the business to co-ordinate all relevant information as well as customers and agents to fine tune the shipping procedure.
Take ownership of despatch shipments and ensuring that all parties are kept fully informed of shipment status.
Enter computer data to prepare consignments for shipment, considering all customer requirements and necessary documentation.
Manage the import and export
Prepare and distribute invoices, both manually and computer generated.
Book shipments and collections as necessary.
Have a geographical awareness
Respond effectively to external enquiries
Assist Shipping Team Leader as and when necessary and provide cover as required throughout the department in the case of absence.

The successful candidate must have:
An excellent communicator who is well organised with good attention to detail.
Be proficient in Microsoft Office.
Applicants should be able to work under the pressure of a busy work environment.
Knowledge of import and export
Good geographical knowledge
Experience within logistics.
