We have an exciting opportunity available to join a genuine leader in the food manufacturing industry. Here at Futures we are looking for a Lead Engineer for a very reputable snack business.
Salary £45,000
Shift – Monday to Friday DAYS only! (No nights, no weekends!)
Reporting into the Maintenance Manager you will manage all aspects of work within the engineering function, whilst maintaining a constant focus on health and safety and employee welfare. The purpose of the role is to act as the first point of contact for the engineering team, and running the day to day activities on site.
Key responsibilities;
Being responsible for the Engineers on site
Ensure all planned preventative maintenance for the site takes place in a timely manner
Hands on engineering maintenance 90% hands on / 10% managing the team
Provide support to Engineering Apprentices
Successful Lead Engineers will have;
Previous experience of working within a FMCG food manufacturing environment
Experience of operating Engineering Supervisory level
ONC / HNC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
Excellent communication skills
Working well under pressure
