About the role

A superb opportunity has arisen for a Graduate/Junior Technical Manager join a leading and expanding food manufacturing organisation in the Humberside region.

If you have a Food Quality related degree, currently looking for a trainee management role that offers tonnes of training and development from day one, then this could be the role for you!

Alternatively if you have a food related degree looking to break into the industry then this could be your opportunity! I’m looking for a dynamic, energetic, degree calibre candidate who is highly motivated and looking to progress their career within a manufacturing setting.

The candidate will ideally have Technical Food Manufacturing experience and have the passion to progress into a senior management role with a forward thinking company.

Our client is a food manufacturer in the Humberside region are currently looking for a Junior Technical Manager to join a unique role with the business.

Supplying a range of clients, from big-4 multiples to smaller independent retail outlets and foodservice companies, production has to be at a pace to satisfy an expanding order book whilst still maintaining the quality and standards clients have come to expect.

If you’re an easily motivated person with a passion for food, ambitious and ideally graduate calibre this could be the ideal career move for you. Due to the size and scope of the role, and the large workforce under management, applications are encouraged from existing Technical/Quality Supervisors or existing Quality/Technical Managers looking for that next step.

Reporting into the Factory Manager, the Technical Manager to be responsible for ensuring compliance to the company’s quality management systems, and effective coordination and leadership. To assist in the departments understanding on the requirements of the GMP and provide training and support.

Key Responsibilities

Management and organisations of a growing team
Writing and reviewing policies and procedures
Mentoring and overseeing the development of your team
To acquire new certificates for the company
Change control requests
Reviewing requirements of customer
Process product complaints

Skills and Qualifications

A degree or equivalent in a scientific or technical study
Experience in food manufacturing quality
GMP experience
Understanding of the processes for ensuring regulatory compliance
Good communication skills

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Technical Manager with high risk food experience. If you’re an experienced Quality Manager looking to step up into a Technical Manager this could also be the role for you!
